Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my background look mirrored?
This is a common feature across most video platforms. While the background may appear reversed to you, it displays correctly to everyone else on the call. Here’s how each platform handles it:
- Zoom — To reduce the distraction, go to Settings → Video and disable the “Mirror my video” option.
- Google Meet — The mirroring effect is applied by default and cannot be disabled on your end, but other participants will see it correctly.
- Microsoft Teams — Same as above; the background will appear correctly to all other participants.
Why does my background look cropped?
If your virtual background isn’t displaying in full, try adjusting your camera or video call settings. If the issue continues after making adjustments, please contact our support team and we’ll help resolve it.
Why can’t I add my virtual background to Google Meet on Safari?
Google Meet only supports virtual backgrounds when using Google Chrome. If you’re having trouble adding a background in another browser, please switch to Chrome and try again.
